Ladoga - Mrs. Daisy E. Welsh, 83, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Friendship Nursing Home here. She had been in failing health a year and seriously ill since Oct. 10. Mrs. Welsh and her husband, John, had farmed east of here the past 42 years. She was a member of Willis Chapel Church of God at Martinsville, Ill. Born Oct. 4, 1880 in Clark County, Ill., she was the daughter of William T. and Mary C. Sinclair. She married John J. Welsh June 11, 1921. They were married in the home of the bride near Martinsville, Ill. Survivors in addition to the husband include a daughter, Miss Tinsey Welsh of Hammond and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gephart Funeral Home here with Rev. Louis Crouch of Dana officiating. Interment will be in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
